Meet Jay
Jay Hofmeister is the CEO of JEM CONSULTING SERVICES. Jay founded Columbus-based JEM in 2002. JEM specializes in engineering, accounting, supply chain, and information technology in the automotive industry.
After the crash of 2008/2009, JEM became a niche boutique firm that focused on the automotive sector. Areas of specialty are operations, engineering, supply chain, accounting, and HR. Clients range from $100M to $35B in revenue.
JEM has a global reach and makes placements in Europe, China, and Mexico. Jay believes in taking a top-down approach to address the hiring needs—from the executive level all the way down to the staff level—that most firms are not set up to handle. When working with private equity firms, we can place a VP or C-level executive and then help build their team down to the ground floor.
JEM maintains billings in the $1.5M to $2M range each year. We take a hands-on approach to client and candidate development.
When Jay is outside of the office, he loves spending time with his lovely wife Amy, son Jacob, daughter Morgan, and three lovely dogs Crosby, Brinkley, and Davie.
